Privacy Policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
1. Who this covers
This policy covers rhapsody.works and the way Rhapsody handles information from people who visit the site or get in touch with us. Rhapsody is a custom software and automation practice.
Work we do under a signed client agreement is governed by that agreement. Where this policy and a signed agreement disagree, the agreement controls.
2. What we collect
When you fill in the contact form, we collect what you type into it: your name, your company, your work email, your phone number, your team size, and the systems you run on.
When you take the Systems Confidence Check and ask for your results by email, we keep your answers along with your name, company and email so we can send them and follow up.
When you contact us by phone or email, we keep the message and our reply so we can pick the conversation back up.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as your IP address, your browser type, the pages you opened, and the page you arrived from. We use this to keep the site working and to understand which pages people read.
We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits, see which pages people read, and see whether the contact form gets used. Google receives your IP address and browser details to do this. Google's advertising features are turned off for this site, so the data is not used for ads.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, government identification numbers, health information, or any other sensitive personal information through this site.
3. Why we have it
We use what you send us to answer you, to work out whether discovery makes sense for your business, and to carry on the conversation if you want one. We use the technical information to operate the site and to see what is read.
We do not use any of it to build a profile of you, and we do not use it for automated decision making.
4. Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers to run the site and our business, including a web host, an email provider, a form and database provider, and Google Analytics. They see only what they need to in order to provide that service, and they are not permitted to use it for anything else.
We will disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have never done either.
5. Your data while we work together
If you become a client, we will work inside your systems and see your business data. That data stays yours. We do not hold copies beyond what the work requires, we do not resell it, and we do not use it to train any model.
6. How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions and correspondence for as long as the conversation is live, and for up to 24 months after it goes quiet, so that we recognize you if you come back. We delete it sooner if you ask.
Technical logs are kept for a short period by our host and then discarded.
7. Your rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. You also have the right not to be treated differently for exercising any of those rights.
We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still ask us to confirm that.
To make any of these requests, use the contact form on the homepage. We will verify that the request is really coming from you before we act on it, usually by replying to the email address we already have for you. We respond within 45 days.
8. Cookies
The site uses the cookies needed to make it work, plus Google Analytics cookies that count visits. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell data to anyone who does. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
9. Security
We keep what you send us on reputable hosted services, protected by access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise. If information you gave us is ever exposed, we will tell you.
10. Children
This site is for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
11. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
